About
After studies in phonetics and audiology, Josefina worked as a clinical audiologist and in teaching. Since 2005, she has been working with hearing aid development and research in Denmark and Sweden. In 2007, Josefina joined ORCA Europe (then Widex) as a research audiologist and is now part of the ORCA Labs team in Stockholm, Sweden.
Research Interests
Josefina is driven by a commitment to improving the quality of life for people living with hearing loss through hearing aids and quality care. Her focus is people-centered, aiming to find ways to strengthen and enable both people with hearing loss and audiologists in their important work together. Through mixed-method research, qualitative methodology, and Design Thinking principles, Josefina’s main research areas of interest include empowerment, hearing loss awareness, and audiological rehabilitation practices.
