With a career starting in the hearing aid industry in 1998, Gitte later transitioned to health education research for chronic illness in 2010.

In 2023, she returned to audiology, joining WS Audiology as Team Lead for Scientific Audiology at ORCA Europe in Stockholm

Gitte’s research combines hearing health behavior, educational counseling, and qualitative methods. She explores the social-psychological and change processes behind hearing health adoption.

Her work focuses on design thinking research, developing innovative tools to empower individuals, improve client-professional communication, and to enhance awareness and hearing care outcomes, while bridging technology and human-centered practices.
