About
Borgný has a background from the University of Copenhagen in Audiology and Speech and Language pathology, where she got well integrated into audiological diagnostics and rehabilitation with person-centered view. To expand her field of expertise, she did a technically oriented MSc thesis with the Technical University of Denmark and WS Audiology related to signal processing and perception in hearing aids.
In 2022, Borgný joined WS Audiology as an industrial PhD student focusing on the intersection of perception, sound quality, and signal processing in hearing aids.
Research interest
Borgný’s research interests are broad, including psychoacoustics, diagnostics, audiology, and real life experiences. Her main driver for doing research in auditory- and hearing-aid science is the belief that the ability to hear and communicate is essential for all individuals in all stages of life. She believes that as researchers, we should strive to improve the hearing-aid technology and diagnostics to give the hearing aid users the best possible hearing abilities.
